Inspired by and born out of the beauty and bounty of France’s Ardèche region, Melvita was created in 1983 by beekeeper and biologist Bernard ChevilliatMelvita – meaning “honey” and “life” in Latin – is distinguished by its brand philosophy of paying homage to the pristine elegance of the natural world. As the French pioneer in organic beauty care, Melvita offers the largest selection on the market of ECOCERT-certified products for the face, body and hair, as well as fragrances and men’s and baby collections.

Another addition to their luxurious skin care is  their Extraordinary Waters — a range of multitasking moisturizers based on a sophisticated new formula. I was more than delighted when I received the Rose Extraordinary Water ($25.00) — one of three exotic variants. I have added this to my daily skin care regime. The sweet-scented floral enhanced water acts as a toner to balance my skin after a hectic day. After a week of use, I already have firm, hydrated skin. Ideal for summertime use when we tend to use less creams on our faces to avoid sweating. This floral water gives your skin an extra moisturizing boost to your thirsty skin (you may apply before sunscreen).

You may use it in the winter before cream application for ultra-moisturizing benefits for soft, supple skin. The unique lightweight gel texture of these waters features a blend of soy-based hyaluronic acids and organic glycerin that delivers moisturizing results; it balances and soothes, delivering advanced skin care benefits with a lingering, slightly perfumed aroma.

On product delivery I would mention it is highly revitalizing and moisturizing; this formula envelops skin in the delicate fragrance of rose nectar. The product is a luxe combination of rose floral water, rose essential water, water clover and lemon extract. This ultra-lightweight, refreshing hydrator helps skin regain firmness while working as an anti-aging toner. It calms and conditions skin, leaving it supple, invigorated and younger-looking. From a formulator’s point-of-view, the product contains:

Rosa Damascena Flower Water, Citrus Medica Limonum Fruit Water [Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Fruit Water] , Aqua [Water], Glycerin, Alcohol, Glycerin, Dehydroxanthan Gum, Decyl Glucoside, Citric Acid, Citronellol, Geraniol, Linalool, Hyaluronic Acid, Menyanthes Trifoliata Leaf Extract, Sodium Hydroxide, Parfum [Fragrance], Citral, Rosa Damascena Flower Extract.

We know the rose is a universal symbol for love, passion and romance. But, it also will make your skin feel and look fresh and brighter. Although, the fragrance doesn’t linger on skin for long, this toner is a delicate combination of rose floral water and marsh clover’s invigorating properties. Use the product in the morning and evening on dry, cleansed skin with a cotton pad or fingertips. Melvita products are available in the U.S. at its three retail stores in San Francisco, Newport Beach, CA and in Seattle, WA. Products are also available at www.usa.melvita.com and through leading online beauty retailers.

So, use it, feel it and say ‘hello’ to your rosy, fresh skin.

I would love to try this. I believe in spraying the face with some water or something wonderful like Rose Water. So cooling and refreshing and good for you. Right now I use Evian Water for a spritz.
