Snow Fox was originally formulated for hypersensitive skin yet is highly compatible for all skin types. I had no knowledge of this line so I was interested to learn what they were all about. Their tag line is: Plant Based Potency Like No Other.

The products contain no parabens, no phthalates, no petrochemicals, no phenoxyethanol, no mineral oil, no sulphates, no synthetic colors or fragrances and they are 100% natural and certified organic. While the key ingredients are from Australia, Snow Fox products are specially packaged using advantaged, proprietary technology in Taipei, Taiwan. This technology allows the products to maintain maximum purity, potency, and freshness – without typically used synthetic chemicals that may dilute or harm the efficacy of the original plant formula.

Since truly natural products expire, Snow Fox products are best used within 3 months of opening, but they do have a shelf life of two years if kept unopened. This is why they are designed and packaged to be used daily. To keep the products as fresh as possible, it’s important to cap them tightly after each use.

The products are not tested on animals – especially not foxes! Snow Fox and its team have a strict policy against animal testing or the use of animal origin ingredients. They are so committed to this ideal that they will not sell in regions where animal testing is mandatory. Hong Kong, Singapore, and Taiwan are countries that do not require animal testing and have very active plant-based lifestyle movements. The company supports animal rights and rescue charities across the globe and promotes the use of cruelty free beauty products.

The products are said to be effective on all skin types, but especially for those with issues such as redness, environmental irritation, oily t-zones, dry patches, hyperpigmentation, and synthetic chemical allergies. I was sent products that together comprise their three-step regime.

Soothing Facial Cleansing Mousse | $35.00

This “powerful yet gentle formula” is “designed to combat and remove grease, dirt, and impurities without drying out the skin’s natural moisture levels.” Organic peppermint oil provides natural, cooling antiseptic and antimicrobial protection while Alpha Hydroxy Citric Acid gently removes dirt, sebum build up, and dead skin cells. Paired with Aloe Vera to stimulate skin regeneration for healthy new skin, this product promises to brighten, exfoliate, refine and revitalize – and do it without abrasive beads or particles. The non-irritant, hypo-allergenic formula promises to “leave your skin feeling refreshed without stripping it of natural oils.”

I absolutely loved everything about this white, fluffy peppermint-infused cleanser! A handy pump makes it easy to use the formula and it cleans without stripping or drying. This is a product that turns a daily routine into a spa-like experience.

Arctic Breeze Detox Mask | $30.00

This All-In-One Detox Mask claims to “moisturize, brighten, and tighten pores while essential oils work to extract impurities from deep within the skin.” The mask promises deep hydration, detox, and intense repair. Each mask is made with 100% premium organic cotton and is specially sealed in a sterile laboratory room to ensure 0% cross contamination. This keeps the formula highly potent and incredibly fresh – literally, fresh out of the lab. It’s said to be “perfect for those much needed it’s-been-a-long-day/night/ugh skin rescues or after sun repair.”

I tried this after a long and tiring day. The cool, minty fragrance was an instant pick-me-up and when I took it off and washed my face, my skin was fresh, revived, and glowing. It really was a little bit of magic. I loved the feeling and the effect!

Day & Night Defense Cream | $55.00

Last but not least, the vital finishing step in the Skin Fox skincare routine is this cream which promises to “do much more than just hydrate.” With daily use, it claims it will “repair damage, improve skin texture, even out skin tone (hyper-pigmentation) and regulate sebum production.” This lightweight, ultra-absorbent hydrating formula was specially designed to be makeup friendly. The Defense Cream can also be used as a natural primer and matte foundation blender for a dewy glow. Visible results were promised within 18 days.

I used this product morning and night for almost three weeks. I did find it a bit tacky when first applied but it absorbed pretty quickly. During the day, it was a good primer for my makeup. At night, it felt smooth and light when applied. I noticed a bit of residue when I washed my face in the morning, so I’m not sure that it absorbed that well. I also didn’t notice a huge difference in terms of skin tone or damage repair but continued use might yield more visible results. Of the three products, this one was the least impressive, especially because of the cost. The other two products knocked my socks off though and I would be interested in exploring the rest of the line!
