This week I, and fellow beauty editors, attended an event for The Body Shop where we were introduced to brand new packaging, top-of-the-line ingredients, and amazing scents launching soon. The hustle and bustle of everyday life can take a toll on your skin where all you need is a little nourishment to feel revitalized. Look no further than Spa Of The World and Oils of Life Collections by The Body Shop. With ingredients including powerful seed oils from various countries, every product in both collections has abilities to greatly repair the skin. The trio of natural seed oils in the Oils of Life include: Black cumin seed oil (known for its antioxidants), Camelia seed oil (naturally rich in nutritive oleic acids), and Rosehip seed oil (rich in omega 3 and 6 fatty acids).

Among beautiful foliage overlooking New York City, the rooftop was filled with various stations and we were whisked away on a first-class journey while learning of each new product. Throughout the evening, we were introduced to Spa Of The World, a line of products that promised to take us on an enticing voyage. The Body Shop explores the world as a source of beauty, in search of the best ingredients around from Egypt to Japan and beyond, that they bring right to your home.

Himalayan Charcoal Body Clay and Moroccan Rhassoul Body Clay, $24 each.

We’ve all heard about the charcoal craze and jumped on the bandwagon because of its power to remove toxins from the body. Charcoal is an ancient beauty secret that draws out impurities and Rhassoul tightens as it dries to give instant firmness to skin. To use the Body Clays: after cleansing, spread a thin layer on to the skin and leave to dry for ten minutes before rinsing. Stand back and admire that glowing skin!

Egyptian Milk & Honey Bath.

This powder-to-milk bath is said to have been a ritual of Cleopatra’s in ancient Egypt! As soon as you pour a scoop of this creamy fragrant powder under running water, the scent will transport you into a state of pure relaxation. Just swirl in the bath until dissolved.

The Oils of Life Intensely Revitalising Essence Lotion, $22.

The essential first step after cleansing, this daily essence lotion has a texture that glides and melts right onto your skin. I have oily skin and am terrified to apply addition oil to my skin but was intrigued with this lotion. My face instantly felt extremely soft and moisturized and I didn’t have any breakouts! To use, simply shake the bottle and pour a few drops into your hand or cotton pads (I used cotton pads to avoid adding to much oil to my face). After using it for a few days in the morning and evening , I am so pleased with how my skin feels. I have ditched the lotion I have been using for years, and added this as a staple in my daily routine. The Facial Oil, $39, is also amazing as a lightweight alternative!

Oils of Life Intensely Revitalising Cream, $34.

I love that it is suitable for sensitive skin because as the seasons change, my skin has a mind of its own. I will be alternating between this and the Essence Lotion daily. In addition, there is also a Gel Cream, $34, that is a much lighter version, if you don’t like the heavy feel of a lotion on your skin.
