Are you ready for the closest shave ever? I love how quickly shaving can be, but I usually suffer from irritated, red skin and ingrown hairs afterwards. Alas, I must admit, I sometimes forgo the shaving cream and just use soap (I know, tsk-tsk). Luckily, the wonderful people at Bikini Soft sent me over some samples of their Smooth Shave Oil and Razor Saver Oil (both $14.99).

I used to use olive oil and/or baby oil on my legs before I shaved — this would provide a protective barrier against any irritation from using my razor. But, regular olive oil was just too expensive and the baby oil would gunk up my razor, resulting in me throwing it out and spending a lot of money on refills.

The Bikini Soft Smooth Shave Oil contains a blend of safflower, sunflower, grapeseed, jojoba oil, vitamin E, aloe, avocado, sandalwood, olive, citrus oil and astaxanthin.

To use, simply wet the area you want to shave (i.e. legs, underarms, bikini line) and apply 8-10 drops of the oil onto your skin. Glide your razor as usual and voilà… you have sexy, smooth legs, and you can even skip moisturizing. The oils are light without a heavy fragrance and blend easily into skin. Nicks, burns and redness will becomes a thing of the past. The bottle is small but the dropper releases small droplets, so you will be able to get plenty of applications.

The second item is the Razor Saver Oil, which is meant to preserve your razor from rusting; exposure to moist air corrodes blades quickly, leading to a jagged edge resulting in nicks and cuts. It comes in a nail polish-like bottle.

To use, simply clean your razor after shaving with hot water and tap it dry on a towel. Once the blades are dry, apply the Razor Saver Oil on them, lubricating the strip as well. And next time you are ready to shave, your razor will be sharp and last longer — increasing the life expectancy of your razor by 300%!

The next day, my legs still feel smooth and extremely moisturized. This is a great product to use in a pinch, if you need a quick shave. Check out more information and videos at www.bikinisoft.com.
