(Review) DKNY Women Energizing Eau de Toilette

Inspired by the city that never sleeps, it’s pulsating, non stop energy, with a skyscraper influenced bottle to boot comes the newest from DKNY. Called DKNY Women Energizing Eau de Toilette, it’s an updated addition to DKNY – The Fragrance, originally done in 1999,   and just in time to refresh you during the sweltering summer days and nights that have already arrived.

DKNY Women Energizing EDT is what I would call a chilled fragrance, chilled as in vodka which is one of the main notes and chilled in that it radiates coolness as opposed to warmth. It truly smells like vodka and I mean that in the best way. The Chilled Vodka and Tomato Leaf notes are so prominent in the beginning and middle of the scent.  Don’t fears you’ll smell like a cocktail though, it’s not that like that.

It’s cool, with a zing of citrus (mandarin and blood orange notes) and so fresh. There are some wet florals in there such as water lilies for balance and the drydown brings a little musk and the white birch note. While I’d prefer to have the vodka note all along, it’s still a sultry summer worthy scent.   It has medium sillage and isn’t too strong, so you won’t actually remind people of a martini and  you can wear it hailing a cab to the newest downtown hotspot or into the office each day.

DKNY Women Energizing is  Sephora and  Sephora.com and will launch at Macys shortly.

1.7 oz is $ 50.00 with 1 oz at $ 36.00.
