When I started working in cosmetics, makeup artist lines were new, exciting and innovative. A single person taking their passions and letting women all over the world be their own makeup artist. Well, just about 20 years ago, one hairstylist did this for the hair industry, Frederic Fekkai. His style was clean and elegant and we all wanted to take him home with us to create fabulous hair.  This need led to his creation of signature shampoos, conditioners and treatments. Many years later, he has now created The One. Products for every woman. Whatever ails your hair, Mr. Fekkai has answers. My verdict? AMAZING!! The packaging is beautiful, the scent is light and heavenly and my hair? You’ll see at the end of this article.

I was able to have a Q & A with Lisa Ferrugia, VP Education and Business Development, who gave me more insight into the products.

What was the inspiration behind the creation of this line?

  • It’s actually a line created for and inspired by our salons and team of stylists. Salon perfected and science supported.

How is it different from his signature line?

  • We needed a premium collection for our salons and a line that was full of stylers and treatments. One fragrance across the entire collection. Sulfate and paraben free, all different from Fekkai Classic.

What are the must haves from the line?

  • The gifted one multi-tasker. Part style, part treatment. And the starter kits are a great way to start a regimen.

I was fortunate to try two of the Introductory kits. The Ultimate One (Restore Collection), and the Brilliant One (Color Collection). There is also the Universal One (Everyday Collection), The Tamed One (Anti Frizz) and a styling category.

The Ultimate One is infused with nutrient-rich Brazilian Aqua Sea Minerals. It also helps to protect against damage and split ends.  Less Breakage and mends split ends? I think my dreams have been answered!!

The Brilliant One is infused with Red Sea Algae and Frederik’s color-enhancing complex. It helps to stop fade color and adds touchable softness and gives hair a glossy shine.

These kits are $29.00 and have all you need to get your hair back on track. Shampoo, conditioner and a hair mask that is absolutely amazing!

I have hair that is processed and is prone to breakage. If I don’t flat iron after blow drying, I will have the worst, frizzy hair. So time consuming and damaging. I used both collections, however, The Ultimate One was my favorite. I had no problems getting a comb thru my hair and blow drying was a joy! My hair was shiny, smooth and best part?? NO FLAT IRON!!

I can’t wait to try the stylers from the collection. I plan on a trip to my favorite beauty store to keep my hair tamed and gorgeous!!

So tell me….Which ONE will you be?
