(Review): Mally Beauty’s Poreless Face Defender & Volumizing Mascara

When Mally Beauty’s Evercolor Poreless Face Defender and Volumizing Mascara arrived on my beauty desk, I was taken with the packaging almost immediately. The faint watermark of snakeskin on a clean pink background has all the makings of “edgy”:

When you open up the box, you’ll find a triangular sponge and a chic solid, portable compact:

The Volumizing Mascara comes in a sleek white tube with pink letters. Think of it as frosting on a lovely, white cupcake…

The Evercolor Poreless Face Defender is the finishing touch to your makeup look. It is not really a primer, although other people have commented that it can be used as a primer. It is a transparent solid that gives you featherweight coverage and aims to diffuse the look of pores and fine lines. Use it after your complete makeup look for a perfect “set.” The luxurious Japanese sponge is a ritual in and of itself. You’ll be hooked beyond measure. I want to cuddle with the sponge alone…and I wish they made pillows out of it. This is a QVC exclusive ($40).

The Volumizing Mascara has made me receive SO many compliments. I’ve been blessed with naturally long lashes but this mascara is one of my all-time favorites. Check out my lashes using this baby, here:

The wand is straight and coats each lash perfectly without leaving it too dry; each lash is combed perfectly. What more can a gal ask for? It retails for $20.

this is the first time I have heard of the Mally line of cosmetics. It’s interesting that the pore defender goes on after everything else.
I was blessed with good eyelashes, but over the years my eyelashes naturally looking like what everyone else achieved with false eyelashes to ok they are there, but it takes more effort to get the pop they use to have.

I have oily skin and find that oil comes through liquid foundation at my temples.
